The College Access Resource Center at Neighborhood House helped over 160 people since its opening in September 2008 to learn about college preparation, testing, financial aid and the application process. This program works with youth and parents to increase graduation rates and provide access to encourage post high school education. None of this would have been possible without the help of generous donors like Travelers, which provided $100,000 in 2007 to start the program and
recently donated $50,000 for it continued operation.
Mike Newman, Travelers Foundation Vice President said “Neighborhood House has served for so long as a beacon of light for West Siders and other people who have come to America seeking opportunity. That is why we are happy to be part of this important service which Neighborhood House is offering to young people to get connected to college. Our relationship with NH in this way is a perfect fit for our focus on college access and college success for young people.”
Travelers is a long time supporter of Neighborhood House, supporting a variety of programs and contributing to the building of our new facility.
Thank you, Travelers.
