Meet Lee Bunge

Lee Bunge

Do you know what a Grain Train is? For Lee Bunge, it is the result of a summer’s hard work. For those of you who don’t know what it is, it is the string of trailers full of grain that the tractor pulls out of the fields. Every fall, Lee steps away from his work as a Senior Vice President of Business Banking, and heads back to Iowa to help his father with the annual harvesting of corn and soybeans. This is where Lee grew up, helping with farming chores before and after school and during the summer (ask Lee about the chore he was assigned when he didn’t do well on an exam). The farm is also the place where Lee learned about the importance of food and the access that people may or may not have to it. This is what interested Lee in serving on the Board at Neighborhood House and has made him an advocate for food access.

When Lee isn’t volunteering at Neighborhood House or working on the farm, he is a Business Banking Manager at Wells Fargo Bank, N.A.   He is assigned to the East St Paul Metro and Western Wisconsin markets. Lee manages a team of relationship managers dedicated to family owned & operated business customers. Lee began his career at Community First National Bank of Fargo in 2000. In 2006, he transitioned to Wells Fargo where he has spent the last 12 years serving business banking customers in the Twin Cities market. He is the recipient of the Wells Fargo Sales and Service Award, Pinnacle Award, Wholesale Bank Golden Spoke Award, and a 3-time recipient of the Wells Fargo Small Business Administration Banker of the Year Award. Lee and his wife Shelly (she also volunteers at Neighborhood House) live in Woodbury with their three children Lauren, Brooke and Jordyn. Lee is also an active volunteer with Junior Achievement, Second Harvest Heartland, is a member of the MN Bankers Association, Leadership Twin Cities, and the St. Paul Chamber of Commerce. Lee holds both a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and a Master of Science degree from the University of South Dakota, which he attended on a football scholarship.
