Latino Leadership Program

The Latino Leadership Program (Programa de Liderazgo Latino) is for Latinx who want to strengthen their leadership skills, build connections and to help them advocate for their children and families, engage in their community, and advance in their jobs and careers.

ABOUT THE LATINO LEADERSHIP PROGRAM

Each session of the Latino Leadership Program brings together up to 35 participants who want to make a difference in our schools, communities and neighborhoods.

The course takes people through various goal setting and reflections, including:

Short-term goals: Participants set goals and create a self-driven plan examining education, career, and future; build a social network of peers who can help them develop as leaders; and connect to community resources and leaders within the Latino community.

Intermediate goals: Participants gain self-confidence; apply leadership knowledge to their career and civic life; remain connected to a community of peers and tap each other for support; and advocate for themselves, their family and their community and make progress on personal and professional goals,
Long-term goals: Participants advance in their careers or jobs; become community leaders and volunteers; or become facilitators for future Latino Leadership trainings.
