Rapid Covid-19 Tests Distributed to Participants

The Food Markets at Neighborhood House received 1,125 rapid Covid-19 test kits to offer to participants provided by Minnesota Department of Health (MDH) and through our agency partner, Second Harvest Heartland.
As participants called in to request food, our Food Intake Workers asked each caller if they would like to receive kits with their groceries until they ran out. Due to limited supply the state has placed limits on the number of kits available per household. Test kits were given to one per person in the household with a limit of 10 kits. Neighborhood House was able to distribute all of the test kits within two weeks.
Neighborhood House also continues to offer a vaccine clinic on Wednesdays from 1 p.m. – 7 p.m. in partnership with Minnesota Community Care. This clinic is open to the public and does not require any appointment or health insurance information.
